University of Pretoria

As I am writing this, I am sitting in front of the Faculty of Theology building at the University of Pretoria. This is heaven to me. It is quiet this time of the year. There are only a few postgrad students walking around. You can see that they are thinking, debating with themselves.
There is no better place to be than here.
I am at peace.

Wes, that is one of my favourite places in the world too!

Earlier this year I was teaching 2nd and 3rd year New Testament on Tuesdays (in fact we ran into one another once or twice). There was a 45 minute break between my two classes and I would go and sit on the benches in front of the faculty, under the trees, and just enjoy being among young, vibrant, exciting people, in a marvelous setting.

I have been on many University campuses across the world... There are few a wonderful as the University of Pretoria.

Bless you my friend!

You're a gift! May that place be where you work one day!
